試題詳情
Last Friday,Scott Kelly looked back on the planet Earth and said, "See you next year!" The NASA astronaut was headed to the International Space Station (ISS),where he plans to spend 342 days-twice as long as any American has e(1)ververspent in space at one time.
While Scott is floating in space, scientists on Earth will be studying Scott's twin brother, retired astronaut Mark Kelly. The Kelly brothers have the same genes (基因).NASA researchers want to see how their two bodies compare after living in such d(2)ifferentifferent environments.Scientists will monitor the Kelly brothers' health, sleep and physical fitness.
As twins, any changes scientists see in Scott but not in Mark are likely caused by Scott's being in space. The information NASA collects could be helpful for more than just future space t(3)ravelravel.It could also aid people right here on Earth.Scientists may learn new methods to h(4)elpelppatients recover from long periods of bed rest. The studies could also provide new ways to monitor people who are unable to fight infections (感染).
Scott Kelly has already made several trips to the ISS,which orbits 250 miles above the Earth. But in the past,he had spent only a few m(5)onthsonths there at a time.Luckily,he will not be alone this time.He will spend the year with Russian astronaut Mikhail Kornienko.Other ISS members will also v(6)isitisitthe station for shorter periods of time.
Scott Kelly says that although he is w(7)orriedorried about missing his family during his year away from the Earth,he is excited to be back aboard the ISS. "It is a lot of fun." he says.
