Dear Kim,
We had a holiday from school today. It is to celebrate the Queen's birthday. There is nothing special, like a parade or a festival of a big party as usual. It's just a holiday.
People don't go to work and children don't go to school.I wonder if the Queen gets presents like we do.I guess her presents would be much better than us.Her friends are rich and they can buy (1)r expensive gifts.
My mum says that some children make things for the Queen and send them to her for her birthday.
Mum (2)e that the Queen likes to get things that show how much the people love her.
I wouldn't like someone to make something I don't need and give it to me for my birthday.
I would (3)r have something I can play with.
When it's my birthday,I'm allowed to (4)c what we have for dinner.
Do you do that on your birthday?I wonder what the Queen does.I guess she can eat.whatever the wants every night. How can her birthday dinner be a (5)s ''treat?
Mum says that everyone, even the Queen, likes birthdays because her family and friends all come to visit her.
He says that is the best (6)p of a birthday.
I don't agree because I think the presents are the best thing. If you don't get presents, you won't have anything to be happy about, except maybe a party with lots of nice food.
It would be nice if you could have a holiday on your birthday as (7)w as on the Queen's birthday. The best of the Queen's birthday is that I have a holiday.
Do you have a holiday from school when the leader of your country celebrates his or her birthday? Please write and tell me about it.
Your friend,
Jason

33.Answer the questions(根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容回答下列問題)
Could you live without the Internet?Do you turn on your computer and check for any messages from your friends? Before you jet off to school,do you find a moment to post a quick comment on Microblog?
Needless to say,the Internet plays a central role in the lives of modern teens, but while it links us to the outside world it can connect us with dangerous threats,as easily as it entertains us.
No one knew this more than the 15-year-old Canadian,Amanda who experienced months of online bullying.
In a video posted on YouTube,Amanda told the story of a stranger from the Internet who tricked her into doing something really embarrassing on webcam (網(wǎng)絡(luò)攝像頭).Those photos ended up on multiple web pages and were seen by many of Amanda's schoolmates. Some of them began making rude comments and spreading rumors online.Amanda was horribly embarrassed and, developed depression and anxiety and even changed schools. However, some of her new schoolmates found out about the photos and the nightmare started all over again. At last,on October10,2012,Amanda took her own life.
We can learn several things from Amanda's sad story. For starters,we should beware that people can easily misrepresent (謊稱) who they are online.
We should think of webcams as a window into our world,so be careful of whom you let in.Always remember that your online behavior can come back to haunt (縈繞) you for years to come. There is no such thing as the delete button in cyberspace.
Last but not least,we should all ask ourselves if we treat others online in the same way we would in person.Every user ID represents a person,so think before you post.
Never forget that the cyberworld is also a real world with real consequences.Be a good cybercitizen and be careful to keep yourself safe.
(1)What did Amanda experience from the Internet?
(2)Who tricked Amanda into doing something embarrassing?
(3)Was Amanda happier after she changed a new school?
(4)Why did Amanda still feel depressed and worried?
(5)Is there any delete button in cyberspace?
(6)What do you learn from this passage?
